Description

North Denes Caravan Site extends to approximately 11.1 acres (4.49 ha) and has been developed and operated as a holiday park by Waveney District Council since the 1950’s.

The park was developed to accommodate up to 275 static holiday pitches all within two separate areas and is now vacant pending total redevelopment. The infrastructure includes a circular roadway system, storm drainage, water, electricity and sewerage.

The park was developed within two areas and the smaller area, which extends to approximately 3.12 acres (1.26 ha), is to be developed to accommodate touring and camping units whilst the larger field, which extends to approximately 7.95 acres (3.22 ha) will be developed for static holiday caravans.

The Park is ready for full development and benefits from a good infrastructure and existing buildings.

Location

The property occupies a prominent position on the sea front of Lowestoft (North) and as such is well located as a base for tourists to the area. The property is flanked on the Eastern side by the sea wall for the popular North Beach and past the North West border of the park is the Denes Oval a council operated cricket ground with tennis courts, gardens and a putting green.

Located on the edge of Lowestoft town centre, the site benefits from a wide range of local amenities, as a major centre it is noted as the gateway to the Norfolk Broads via Oulton Broad.

Access to Lowestoft is via a variety of major ‘A’ roads not least the A12, London Road making this part of the country readily accessible to a wide catchment area.

The property is approached via Whapload Road from the town centre.
